One of the most common ways to manage vertigo is a technique called the Epley maneuver. The Epley maneuver is often recommended by chiropractors or physical therapists as a way of treating vertigo at home. When it comes to cervicogenic dizziness, the treatment is the indication as to the injury, and since the treatment is working, it might not even be worth investigating further.Vertigo can be managed naturally with a variety of home remedies. I'm still curious as to why these issues are happening, but my PT doesn't have much faith that any form of imaging will help us figure that out. This is reminiscent of when massaging my neck used to elicit symptoms, and since I can massage the neck now, I suspect that stretching and strengthening my back needs to happen before I can have it massaged. I had a massage on my left upper back and that resulted in exacerbating my issues for almost a week. I've always had a tight lower back, and my shoulder blades are especially crunchy and stiff right now. My next order of business is to tackle the back muscles. I imagine it will take a long time to get to the point where I feel totally normal all day, but the trend I've noticed is sitting down to eat or playing board games is the biggest trigger I have. It's not fun, but I suspect it's an improvement. I hope that means my body is getting better at stopping the issue before it happens.

I'm also able to handle yoga sessions and skiing pretty well, so I'm getting some of my routine back. Towards the middle of the month, I was able to tolerate a neuromuscular massage directly on the left SCM and parts of my neck, which is a huge difference from September when I could barely touch my SCM without feeling dizzy. In the beginning of January I had some soreness in my left neck and jaw, but that quickly went away as I continued my stretches, and doesn't happen anymore. Mostly good stuff this past month and a half! I've continued PT with my latest therapist and we've been strengthening my neck with good results.
